JBT Proseal, the tray-sealing specialist, has further expanded its partnership with a major, UK-based customer with delivery of a new, purpose-built Case Packer to the company’s sandwich & snack food manufacturing facilities following a successful trial.
The customer has become the latest company to take advantage of Proseal’s CP3™ case packing system, a high-speed, fully-automatic solution which was launched in 2022.
Maximizing throughput is at the core of the CP3, with Proseal’s proven ProMotion tray infeed system able to control the flow of trays using following motion and intelligent buffering technology, enabling continuous feeding of the case packer.
The solution is also able to handle a wide variety of pack formats, including & trays, pots in materials such as PET, board, foil & PP while auto-tool technology enables fast and easy format changes. Quick Release (QR) conveyors enable swift removal and replacement to speed up and simplify cleaning and maintenance.
Building on past success
JBT Proseal’s Key Accounts Manager, Daryl Henshaw, says the latest agreement came about following successful testing of the CP3 on site.
“The customer received a free-of-charge, non commitment two-month trial of a Case Packer which, put simply, they loved,” he says. “They then went on to make an order for a purpose-built new unit which was installed in the summer.
“We also have a PRoCARE agreement with the customer across its manufacturing facilities, which covers the ongoing maintenance of all it Proseal Tray Sealers. The value of this agreement as well as the general level of support and reactivity offered by Proseal is something which continues to be very much appreciated by customer.”
