JBT has been granted Authorization to Register its range of boiler and vessel solutions with The National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors; an achievement that opens up the prospect of being able to manufacture additional product lines.
The culmination of many months’ work at JBT’s Lakeland, Florida manufacturing plant, the receipt of the Certificate of Authorization means JBT can apply the ASME ‘U’ stamp to items built in accordance with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
Additionally, JBT Lakeland has received the Certificate of Authorization to apply the National Board ‘R’ stamp to shop repairs and alterations of metallic code vessels built elsewhere.
“ASME’s Conformity Assessment is the leading, universally recognized, independent Quality Assurance (QA) program that certifies that stamped products and parts fulfill high Quality and Safety requirements,” explained JBT’s Global Operations Manager, Julio Izzo.
“I would like also to congratulate our entire team that relentlessly participated on this challenge for several months, improving and testing our processes in order to achieve this goal.”
