JBT Corporation, one of the world’s leading providers of solutions for the global food and drink industries, will be showcasing its complete system solutions for tomato processors at the upcoming World Processing Tomato Congress, as part of a push to expand its business in Chile.
As an event sponsor and exhibitor, JBT will be present at the congress, which takes place in Santiago, Chile from March 6-9, to highlight its innovative technologies for tomato and fruit companies that cover everything from initial treatment to filling and sealing.
Januário Soligon, JBT’s sales and marketing manager for South America, says JBT’s participation in the event forms part of its strategy to expand the company’s presence in Chile, which it views as an important market for future growth.
With JBT making good progress supplying machinery and solutions for turnkey projects for tomato processors in nearby Brazil, Soligon says the World Processing Tomato Congress is a significant opportunity for the company to showcase its systems in Chile.
“Chile is very strong in tomato processing, so it is very important for us to take part in the congress,” he says. “We will be highlighting the whole tomato line because JBT has the ability to supply a fully equipped plant from initial treatment and washing of the tomatoes on arrival through to processing, evaporation and aseptic filling – we provide a complete tomato processing solution.”
Already well-known for its high quality, innovative technological solutions and after-care, Soligon says JBT was aiming to expand its business in Chile, not just in tomatoes, but across the broader fruit processing sector. “We are working hard to expand our business in Chile – we now have dedicated professionals here who are working to deliver several ongoing projects with customers,” he adds.
